Endoscopic treatment is a way to treat gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). This condition is caused by rising of consumed foods from the stomach back into the esophagus. Doctors use one of the various techniques to change the function of the band of muscles at the base of the esophagus to make easy flow of food into the stomach.
