Dr. Dr Abhishek Mitra

Dr. Abhishek Mitra is a distinguished GI and HPB Cancer Surgeon with over two decades of expertise in managing complex gastrointestinal and hepatopancreatobiliary disorders. Currently serving as Consultant at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, he is widely recognized for his advanced surgical skills, clinical precision, and patient-centric approach.
After completing his MBBS, MS, and MCh, Dr. Mitra pursued specialized post-doctoral fellowship training in GI and HPB Oncology at Tata Memorial Hospital, one of India’s premier cancer institutes. He holds the distinction of being the first certified GI and HPB Oncology surgeon in North India.
His areas of expertise include the surgical treatment of diseases and cancers involving the esophagus, stomach, liver, gallbladder, pancreas, small intestine, colon, and rectum.
